What AutoShorts.ai is, and where it is genuinely good
AutoShorts.ai creates short vertical videos and posts them for you. You create a "Series": you pick a topic from a preset list or write a custom prompt, choose the voice, the language and the length, and the tool writes the script, makes an image for each scene, narrates, adds background music and publishes on a schedule to TikTok, YouTube or Instagram. The official page says the tool "wasn't designed for single video creation". It is built for a series that posts on a regular rhythm.
That is a real strength. Set it up once and a niche gets a new Short 3 times a week, once a day or twice a day, without opening an editor. Every paid plan has voice cloning, 30 languages, HD, background music and no watermark. For someone who wants to test one Shorts niche on TikTok for a month, it is one of the cheapest and simplest ways in. This AutoShorts AI review starts there because it is true.
The whole category, and how to compare these tools, is in our AI Shorts generator guide. The question here is narrower: a faceless channel is a business that has to monetize. What do US$ 19, US$ 39 and US$ 69 buy when the goal is a channel that pays, not just a feed that posts?
What each AutoShorts plan gives in October 2026
The numbers below come from the official page in October 2026: home, pricing and FAQ. Prices change, so confirm them at checkout before paying.
The Free plan creates 1 video in 1 series with a watermark, and it is currently shown as "Temporarily paused". In practice, today there is no way to test the tool without paying.
The yearly option gives 2 months free: US$ 190, US$ 390 or US$ 690 a year, which works out to about US$ 15.83, US$ 32.50 and US$ 57.50 a month, paid upfront.
Every paid plan includes auto posting to the channel, editing and preview of each video (script, title, images and background music), HD resolution, voice cloning and no watermark. You choose between "30 to 60 seconds" and "60 to 90 seconds". On long form, the FAQ is direct: "Not at the moment. We focus on short form content, up to 90 seconds."
- Starter: US$ 19 a month, posts 3 times a week, 1 series, 27 motion credits.
- Daily: US$ 39 a month, posts once a day, 1 series, 62 motion credits.
- Hardcore: US$ 69 a month, posts twice a day, 1 series, 124 motion credits.
One series per plan: the volume math
Every plan, including the most expensive, is 1 series. Converted to a month, the Starter posts about 13 videos, the Daily about 30 and the Hardcore about 60. Per video that is about US$ 1.46, US$ 1.30 and US$ 1.15. Cheap per unit, but all of it goes to one niche on one channel, and every video stops at 90 seconds. At full length, the Hardcore gives up to 90 minutes of content a month.
Want a second niche? An account can only be on one plan type, and the FAQ's answer for more plans is to "create a separate account". Three niches on the Daily mean 3 accounts, 3 logins and US$ 117 a month for about 90 Shorts, managed in three dashboards.
Posting twice a day also does not mean posting at the right hour for each audience. The best time to post on YouTube changes by niche, and a single series has a single rhythm.
On FalconVid a channel is not an account. Each channel has its own calendar, identity and language inside the same login: 1 channel on the Starter, 5 on the Pro, 10 on the Business, 25 on the Agency and 50 on the Scale. The researcher, the scriptwriter, the narrator, the editor and the sound designer work in parallel, a video is ready in up to 30 minutes, and simultaneous generations go from 2 on the Starter to 50 on the Scale, so several channels move at the same time.

27 motion credits: mostly still images that move a little
By default, AutoShorts creates a still AI image for each scene. Motion credits are what turn some of those images into movement. They reset every billing cycle, and extra top off credits can be bought.
Now the math. A 60 second Short with a scene change every 4 to 6 seconds, our estimate, has 10 to 15 scenes. The Starter gives 27 motion credits for about 13 videos: about 2 animated scenes per video. The Daily gives 62 for about 30, and the Hardcore 124 for about 60: again about 2 per video. The bigger plan buys more videos, not more motion per video. The other 8 to 13 scenes of each Short are still images.
Shorts live on the first 2 seconds and on rewatches, and a sequence of stills competes in a feed full of real movement. A clean loop ending on a Short helps any format, but it does not replace motion in the middle.
FalconVid lets you choose the engine per video. The economy mode assembles the video with stock and web footage cut to the script and the narration. The balanced and premium modes generate each scene for the script, up to Veo 3 with audio and Seedance Pro in premium. A 1 minute Short costs 583 credits in economy, and a 12 minute video costs 1,731 in economy, 4,597 in balanced and 16,131 in premium, with karaoke captions in 15+ styles. The cost per video is the same on every plan.
Shorts only, up to 90 seconds: the 2027 monetization wall
AutoShorts makes short form only, up to 90 seconds. For TikTok, that is the format. For YouTube, what decides whether the channel pays is the Partner Program rule, and it changed.
From February 1, 2027, a new channel entering through Shorts needs 1,000 subscribers plus 20 million qualified Shorts views in 90 days, up from 10 million. We broke down the 20 million Shorts views rule in detail. 20 million in 90 days is about 222,000 views a day. On the Hardcore, 180 Shorts in 90 days need about 111,000 views each on average. On the Starter, about 39 Shorts need about 513,000 each.
The other path is 1,000 subscribers plus 8,000 public watch hours in 365 days, up from 4,000, and Shorts views do not add watch hours to it. A Shorts only machine gives that path zero. Mid-roll ads, the ones in the middle of the video, only run on videos of 8 minutes or more, which AutoShorts does not make. And a channel already in the program needs 10 million Shorts views in 90 days to keep earning on Shorts.
Even monetized, the revenue per 1,000 Shorts views is a different and usually smaller number than on long videos, and how much YouTube Shorts pay runs that math.
FalconVid makes both from the same channel. The 12 minute video in 16:9 crosses the 8 minute line with room for several mid-rolls, and Shorts in 9:16 come alongside, including Shorts cut from the long video. 8,000 hours are 480,000 minutes: a 12 minute video at 40% retention gives 4.8 minutes per view, so about 100,000 views close the long path. On the Starter, an honest mix is 4 videos of 12 minutes in economy plus 13 one minute Shorts in economy, 14,503 of the 15,000 credits.
What FalconVid does for a faceless channel
FalconVid runs faceless channels on autopilot: you approve a calendar of niche topics, and the rest goes out on its own, from research to scheduled publishing on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Rumble and Facebook.
Before the first video, the Spy finds what is performing in your niche, so you do not start from zero, you start from what already monetizes. The Studio is there when you want to watch version 1 and shorten the intro, swap a scene, change the music or open the timeline. Every paid plan has the full platform. What changes is volume, channels, simultaneous generations, the dedicated server from Pro up, the Senior AI Analyst and support.
- Long videos and Shorts in 9:16 from the same channel, with long videos repurposed into Shorts.
- Research, original script, narration, scenes, music, karaoke captions in 15+ styles, thumbnail and video SEO.
- Ultra realistic premium voices or your cloned voice in 63 languages.
- Duplicate a project into another language paying only the difference.
- Channel DNA that keeps voice, style, rhythm and language the same in every video.
- Publishing to 5 networks: YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Rumble and Facebook, with automatic comment replies.
- Senior AI Analyst from Pro up: a fixed person with a name, a face and a voice who reads your account every 2 days and writes the next move. The Starter gets a 7 day trial of the analyst.
No refunds, a paused free plan and one plan per account
The AutoShorts FAQ says: "Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds", and explains it with the cost of AI generation. With the free plan paused, the first real contact with the tool is a paid month. On the yearly plan that is US$ 190 to US$ 690 upfront with no way back.
The account rule adds friction. Since an account holds one plan type, mixing a Hardcore niche with a Starter test means two accounts and two bills. Nothing breaks, but every new niche is a new login and a new card charge.
FalconVid has a free plan you can use today: 4 videos of up to 3 minutes every 30 days, with no card, to generate and download and judge the quality. Publishing starts on a paid plan, which comes with a 7 day guarantee, and the yearly plan gives 2 months free. With the Spy pointing at what already performs in the niche, the first paid month is not a blind test either.
AutoShorts vs FalconVid in volume, and when each one fits
Side by side, per month: AutoShorts gives about 13 Shorts on the Starter, 30 on the Daily and 60 on the Hardcore, up to 90 seconds, 1 series, about 2 animated scenes each. On FalconVid, the Starter, with 15,000 credits, 1 channel and 2 simultaneous generations, makes about 25 one minute Shorts in economy, or about 8 videos of 12 minutes in economy or 3 in balanced. Premium of 12 minutes does not fit there. The Pro, with 30,000 credits and 5 channels, makes about 51 Shorts or 17, 6 or 1 long videos. The Business makes about 162 Shorts or 54, 20 or 5 on 10 channels, up to the Scale on 50 channels.
AutoShorts is worth it when the goal is to test one Shorts niche, especially on TikTok, for a low monthly cost, accepting still images with a little motion and no refund. For that, it is honest and simple.
It stops fitting when the goal is a YouTube channel that monetizes. The ceiling there is 1 series, 90 seconds and 2 posts a day, with nothing on the long video path. That ceiling belongs to that tool. The automated route removes it: long videos and Shorts from the same channel, specialists working in parallel, simultaneous generations and the same line running several channels at once, in as many channels as you want. On the Pro, 10 videos of 12 minutes plus 21 Shorts, both in economy, use 29,553 of the 30,000 credits.
