Speechify Studio is not the Speechify reader app
The first trap is the name. Speechify sells two different subscriptions. The famous one is the Text to Speech Reader, the app that reads PDFs, articles and books aloud, with Premium at $29 a month. It is a listening tool. It does not give you voiceover files to put in a YouTube video.
Speechify Studio is the other product: a voiceover studio for your own content, with more than 1,000 voices, a Voiceover Studio, a Dubbing Studio and a Voice Changer, plus controls for pauses, pitch, speed, volume, emotion and pronunciation. The Speechify FAQ itself confirms they are separate subscriptions. If you bought the reader to narrate a channel, you bought the wrong product.
The Studio is genuinely good at what it does. The voices are natural, the editor is granular, re-exporting unchanged audio is free and the paid plans include commercial rights with ownership of the output. For the voice of a faceless channel, this Speechify Studio review starts by saying it delivers. If you want the whole category first, our guide to AI voice narration compares the options.
Speechify Studio pricing in October 2026
The numbers below come from the official Speechify Studio pricing page in October 2026. Prices change, so check at checkout before paying.
Credits are the currency for everything in the Studio, and the page lists the rates: voiceover at 1 credit per second, dubbing at 3 credits per second and avatar at 30 credits per second. Any new generation costs credits, even with the same voice. Changing only the volume is free, but changing pitch, speed or emotion sends the audio back through the AI and costs again.
- Free: $0, 600 Studio credits, 1,000+ voices, Voiceover and Dubbing Studio, no commercial usage rights; the FAQ says downloading your work to MP3 requires a paid plan.
- Studio Starter: $100 a year, 86,400 Studio credits, commercial usage rights, stock music, video, images and sound effects.
- Studio Creator: $300 a year, 345,600 Studio credits, everything in Starter.
- Enterprise: through the sales team.
1 credit per second: the math for a 12 minute narration
Now convert credits into narration. A 12 minute video has 720 seconds of voice, so it costs 720 credits. The 600 free credits are 10 minutes, less than one full narration, and without commercial rights or MP3 download.
The 86,400 credits of Studio Starter are 1,440 minutes, or 24 hours of voice: 120 narrations of 12 minutes. The 345,600 of Creator are 96 hours, 480 narrations. The page does not say whether the credits renew monthly; read as the year's allowance, as the annual price suggests, Starter covers 10 narrations a month and Creator 40.
Two details move that number. Every revision of speed, pitch or emotion regenerates the audio and spends again, so a narration adjusted twice can cost 2,160 credits instead of 720. And the other tools burn faster: dubbing a 12 minute video into another language costs 2,160 credits, and 12 minutes of avatar costs 21,600, a quarter of the whole Starter year.
Either way, the voice is cheap. Less than a dollar per narration on Starter. That is exactly why the voice is not where a channel gets stuck.
The voice is one step out of eight in a faceless channel
Speechify gives you an audio file. A YouTube video still needs the topic chosen against what performs in the niche, the research, a script written for retention, the visuals for every scene, the edit synced to the narration, the background music at the right level under the voice, the captions, the thumbnail, the title, description and tags, and the upload on the calendar.
In hours, for a 12 minute video: research and script take 2 to 4, scene search and the edit on the timeline take 6 to 12, thumbnail and SEO about 1. The narration, with Speechify, takes minutes. At 13 videos a month, the voice is the 30 minutes you saved inside 100 to 200 hours that are still there.
And the voice itself still needs care. Names, numbers and foreign words are where every AI narration trips, and our post on fixing AI voice pronunciation shows what to correct before export. On Speechify each correction is a new generation that spends credits.
On FalconVid the narration is not a separate file. It comes out of the same pipeline as the research, the script, the scenes, the captions, the thumbnail and the SEO, and the video is ready in up to 30 minutes. A 12 minute video costs 1,731 credits in economy mode, 4,597 in balanced and 16,131 in premium, with the voice already inside.

Languages, voices and keeping the same voice for months
The Speechify Studio FAQ lists about 20 voiceover languages, from English, Spanish and Portuguese to Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Turkish, and the Dubbing Studio turns a video into other languages at 3 credits per second. For most big markets that covers it. Our ranking of the best languages for AI voice over shows where AI narration already sounds native and where it still trips.
A channel also needs the same voice for months. Viewers subscribe to a voice, and changing the channel voice midway costs retention. On a voiceover studio, keeping that consistency is your job: the same voice, the same speed, the same settings, every video, by hand.
FalconVid narrates in 63 languages with ultra realistic premium voices or your own cloned voice, and the channel DNA keeps the same voice, pace and identity from one video to the next. A project can be duplicated to another language paying only the difference, which turns one channel into several markets without redoing the work.
What FalconVid does for a faceless channel
FalconVid runs the faceless channel on autopilot: you approve a calendar of topics in your niche, and the rest comes out on its own, from research to the scheduled post on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Rumble and Facebook.
The AI specialists work in parallel, the researcher, the scriptwriter, the narrator, the editor and the sound designer at the same time. Simultaneous generations go from 2 on Starter to 50 on Scale, and channels go from 1 on Starter to 50 on Scale, each with its own calendar, identity and language. Every paid plan has the full platform; what changes is volume, channels, simultaneous generations, the dedicated server from Pro and the Senior AI Analyst from Pro, who writes every 2 days with the next move for your account.
- Narration with ultra realistic premium voices or your cloned voice, with pacing and pauses written into the script, and two voice narration when the format calls for a dialogue.
- Scenes cut to the narration, background music and sound effects from the library mixed under the voice, and karaoke captions in more than 15 styles.
- Thumbnail, 4K and video SEO, plus long video in 16:9 and Shorts in 9:16 on the same channel.
- The Spy shows what already performs in your niche, so you do not start from zero, you start from what already monetizes.
- The Studio lets you watch version 1 and shorten the intro, swap a scene or the music, or open the timeline.
Free plan, commercial rights and the real first test
The Speechify Studio free plan is useful for hearing the voices: 600 credits, 10 minutes. For a channel it stops there. It has no commercial usage rights, and the FAQ says that to share your work and download it to MP3 you upgrade to a paid plan. In practice, the first narration you can publish comes on the annual Starter.
The FalconVid free plan delivers whole videos, not a voice file: 4 videos of up to 3 minutes every 30 days, no credit card, to generate and download, with research, script, narration, scenes and captions already inside. Publishing starts on a paid plan, which comes with a 7 day guarantee, and the annual plan gives 2 months free.
Speechify Studio or FalconVid: side by side, and when each one fits
Side by side: Speechify Studio Starter gives 86,400 credits, 24 hours of voice, about 120 narrations of 12 minutes, and every other step of the video is still by hand. On FalconVid, the Starter with 15,000 credits, 1 channel and 2 simultaneous generations makes about 8 finished videos of 12 minutes a month in economy, 3 in balanced, or about 25 Shorts. Premium at 12 minutes does not fit in it. The Pro with 30,000 credits makes 17, 6 or 1 across 5 channels, the Business 54, 20 or 5 across 10, the Agency 109, 41 or 11 across 25, and the Scale 184, 69 or 19 across 50.
Speechify Studio is worth it when you only need the voice: a podcast, an audiobook, a course, a slide deck, or a channel where you already edit every video yourself and enjoy it. For that, it is cheap, natural and honest about how credits are spent.
It stops fitting when the goal is a channel that publishes without you at the timeline. The ceiling there is not the voice, it is the 100 to 200 hours of everything else, and that ceiling belongs to the manual workflow. The automated path removes it: the finished video instead of the audio file, AI specialists working in parallel and the same line running several channels at the same time, in as many channels as you want.
